Shelley Sloper (nee. Pastuch)
Shelley Sloper (nee. Pastuch) graduated from the University of South Australia in 2000 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Shelley worked in country Victoria and South Australia in both the public and private sectors in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
Shelley then moved to the UK for 18 months working in the NHS, focusing on musculoskeletal conditions in a variety of exceptional hospitals gaining experience in orthopaedic and trauma physiotherapy.
On her return to Australia in 2003 Shelley moved to Perth and commenced work in the private sector. She became a part-practice owner at East Vic Park Physiotherapy in 2005 where she furthered her training and education completing pilates training, dry-needling, taping and shoulder courses. In 2006 Shelley established Miami Physiotherapy in Falcon and made Mandurah her home.
She completed her Masters through the University of Queensland, graduating with a Masters of Animal Science (Physiotherapy) allowing her to use her physiotherapy skills on animals as well as people! She has since sold her share in East Vic Park Physiotherapy to focus all her attention and energy on Miami Physiotherapy.
She has continued to further her physiotherapy skills with additional courses including kinesio taping and Real Time Ultrasound guided exercise training.
Darcie has recently joined the team at Miami & Lakelands Physiotherapy and is enjoying every moment of meeting new face’s. Darcie has lived locally for the past 12 years. When you come to reception you’ll be greeted with a big friendly smile, Darcie looks forward to assisting you with your appointments.
Ashlin has been working at Miami Physio for the past 2 years. She is currently studying nursing at Murdoch. When you come to reception you’ll be greeted by a warm, friendly smile.
Ashlin has lived in the Mandurah area since childhood attending the local school.
She will be able to help you with making all your allied health appointments at Miami Physio.
Lucinda De Bellis
Lucinda De Bellis is currently studying Commerce at Curtin University in Western Australia. Lucinda has a passion for Health and fitness, and in her spare time loves going to the gym and enjoying local beaches. Lucinda always greets patients with a warm friendly smile and is happy to assist you when you come into Lakelands Physiotherapy.
Hannah Mersh is currently studying Exercise, Sports and Rehabilitation Science/ Physiotherapy at Curtin University in Western Australia. Once Hannah completes her studies she hopes to be employed by the practice as a qualified Physiotherapist. She is currently learning all the skills to being an Allied Health Receptionist to help her in the long run. Hannah loves her sports, especially her netball and basketball.
At the practice Hannah has been lucky enough to gain a lot of experience which will help with her studies especially traveling with the WA Hockey Masters teams to Tasmania to help with any First Aid, Injuries and Recovery programs with the athletes. Hannah looks forward to seeing you when you come into Miami Physiotherapy.
Ellen Bailey graduated from New Zealand’s University of Otago with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2015 and has worked in private practice since graduating. She spent 18 months working as a physio for the New Zealand defence force before changing to a private practice for 9 months.
Ellen was born in Australia but lived in New Zealand majority of her life. She has recently returned to Australia early 2018 and joined the team here at Miami and Lakelands physiotherapy.
Ellen has worked with rugby teams for the last few years managing and triaging on-field acute injuries. She is also qualified to do dry needling and her interests are acute musculoskeletal injuries and pre and post-op rehabilitation. Outside of physiotherapy she enjoys spending time outdoors at the beach and playing tennis or netball.
Alice Armistead has been working in the Reception and Administration sector in the Mandurah region since graduating high school in 2016. Starting 2018 with beginning her career in the Allied Health services as one of our friendly, outgoing and passionate team members.
She thoroughly enjoys working alongside our friendly team members and strives to assist you throughout your recovery journey. Alice always looks forward to assisting you at both Miami Physiotherapy and Lakelands Physiotherapy and Allied Health.
Rachel graduated from Curtin University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Prior to that Rachel had completed a degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry at the University of Western Australia but a desire to work directly with people to improve their lives prompted a career change. She is interested in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and hydrotherapy.
Rachel has spent the last nine years living in the Mandurah area and loves the community. In particular, Rachel enjoys paddling in the Peel waterways, cycling and running.
Anya Duyvestyn graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2015. She worked for 2 years in a private practice in the sunny town of Mount Maunganui, before heading overseas for her dream backpacking trip around South America. Anya had been wanting to move across the ditch for awhile, and finally in 2018 she has made the move to join us here at Miami and Lakelands physiotherapy.
Anya grew up doing gymnastics and dancing, which has led her to her interest in sports related injuries, growth related pain, and lower back pain. She is also qualified to do dry needling, and pilates. Outside of physiotherapy she enjoys going to the beach, running and cooking.
